LCA's Firm Foundation
Founded in 1973, Lehigh Christian Academy is the oldest evangelical Christian school in the Lehigh Valley. It was established in order to provide a thorough, complete, and consistently Christian education for the area’s Christian families. Lehigh Christian Academy's administration, faculty and staff partner with the home to meet the intellectual, physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of each student.
Two evangelical churches, Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship Church and Christ Methodist Church, jointly operate and govern Lehigh Christian Academy. Representatives of each church form the Board of Directors, which sets policy, makes corporate commitments, and conducts hiring and dismissal. The administrator is the appointed executive and a delegate of the Board. Administration establishes procedures and carries out Board policy.
